Your SOPlanning schedule, wherever you go
The SOPlanning mobile app gives you access to your schedule from your smartphone, wherever you are. Available on iPhone and Android, it is designed for teams who use SOPlanning every day and are not always at a desk: field technicians, site managers, sales reps between appointments or managers on the move.
The app connects directly to your SOPlanning workspace. You will find the same projects, tasks and colleagues as in the web version, without having to open a browser. Every change you make from your phone is saved to your SOPlanning and becomes visible to your whole team.
Easy to master in just a few minutes, the app carries over the simplicity that has made SOPlanning a success from the very beginning. It is available in six languages (English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Dutch) and lets you update your profile, email address or password directly from your phone.
See your schedule at a glance
View your tasks in the layout that suits the way you work: the day view to organize your day, the week view to plan the days ahead and the month view to step back and see the bigger picture. You choose the main information shown on each task: its title, its project or its date and time.
Filters help you focus on what matters. Show only your own tasks, or those of specific colleagues, projects or statuses, and quickly find a person or a project using the search field.
With a single tap, open the full details of a task: status, project, assignee, date, time and duration, location, resource, required skill, deliverable, comment, link and custom field. Attachments are available in the same place and can be downloaded to your phone.
Even without a network connection, you are never caught off guard: the app keeps the last schedule it loaded and displays it in offline mode, along with the date of its last update.
Plan and update your tasks in the field
Create a new task or edit an existing one straight from your phone. Enter its title, project, assignee and dates, then set its duration in whichever way is most convenient: an end date, a time slot, a duration or a half-day, in the morning or the afternoon.
The key details of a task are right at your fingertips: status, location, resource, required skill, deliverable, external link, comment and custom field. You can also attach documents to a task, so that the whole team has the right information at the right time.
To make sure nothing slips through the cracks, turn on reminders: the app sends you a notification before each task starts, anywhere from 5 minutes to 1 day ahead, as you prefer. Reminders are delivered even when the app is closed.
Simple, secure sign-in
Signing in to the app takes just a few seconds. In SOPlanning on your computer, open your login QR code from the menu, then scan it with your phone: you are signed in without typing a thing. Prefer the classic way? Enter your SOPlanning address, your username and your password, and check “Remember me” so you won’t have to type them again.
This simplicity does not come at the expense of security. The login QR code is single-use: it is invalidated as soon as it has been used, it expires after a limited time and each new QR code cancels the previous one. Your phone’s camera is used for this scan only.
All communication between the app and your SOPlanning is encrypted: HTTPS is mandatory and the app refuses any unsecured address. Once you are signed in, the app authenticates with a time-limited session token rather than with your password. If you choose to remember your credentials, they are kept in your phone’s encrypted storage: the Keychain on iPhone and encrypted storage on Android.
After several failed sign-in attempts, access is temporarily blocked to thwart intrusion attempts. When you sign out, the schedule stored on your phone is erased. Finally, your schedule data is never shared with any third-party service.
